Orcas Island from Highest Point to Sea Level

We started today on the highest point in the San Juan Islands (Mt. Constitution) and ended it with a sunset sea kayak tour with Shearwater Kayak Tours.

The morning was a bit cloudy and there was some fog on the mountain, so we could not see as far as we hoped.  If we get a nice sunny day before we leave we'll return for a better view.

The weather improved during the day and by the time our sea kayaking adventure began it was perfect.  The sun was out and the water was calm.   Jenny and I were in one kayak, Dylan and Ali in another, and Liam was partnered with our guide Jennifer.   We spent just over two hours on the water right before sunset and were able to see a harem of seals while on our tour.  Here are some shots I took from the back of the kayak (while trying to stay upright!)

Another great vacation day in the books.
